Healing

Many people are going out and witnessing to the lost in order to help fulfill the Great Commission, and praise the Lord for these people! However, the exciting reality is that the Great Commission involves more than witnessing to the lost and getting them to say a "sinner's prayer." In addition to sharing the Gospel, Jesus commissioned all believers to lay hands on the sick, to cast out demons, and to train others to do these things! Notice that God does not automatically heal people, but instead He has given us the responsibility of ministering His healing power to the sick. It is my prayer that these articles will bless you and enable you to see healing miracles for the glory of the Lord!

Short Speeches on Healing

In the fall of 1999, the Lord told me to join a local Toastmasters club (where you practice giving short speeches). Here are several of my 5-minute speeches which relate to healing the sick, and they contain some important insights into how divine healing works:

Healing Training Course

  • Part One: YOU Can Heal the Sick in Jesus' Name!
In order to be effective in healing the sick for the glory of the Lord we need to be convinced that healing is for today. Many of us were taught that healing "died out" in the first century, so the purpose of this handout is to give step-by-step Scriptural proof that we have all been commissioned to share the Gospel, cast out demons, heal the sick, and train others to do these things.

  • Part Two: The Power of the Holy Spirit
According to my studies of Scripture, the purpose of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is to empower us for ministry, such as healing the sick.

  • Part Three: Important Principles of Healing
The purpose of this handout is to present some important principles of healing which might help you (and those you train) as you step out in faith and begin laying hands on the sick.

  • Part Five: Receive Healing
The New Testament never says that it is God's will for us to remain sick or injured or disabled. Instead, the New Testament consistently shows that healing and health are God's will for us!

  • Should We Anoint with Oil?
Nothing in the New Testament indicates that anointing with oil is wrong, but neither is it a requirement.

  • Answering Common Objections About Divine Healing
Many sincere, well-meaning Christians have raised a number of objections about divine healing, and this article provides Scriptural answers to some of these objections.

  • How to Cast Afflicting Spirits Out of Your Life
This article contains a powerful self-deliverance procedure which might help you stop the enemy's attacks against you and help you cast out demons which are afflicting or oppressing you or your family. Obviously I cannot guarantee what kind of results you will have, but by following this self-deliverance procedure you will be taking strong steps toward gaining victory over the enemy. Many people (myself included) have gained instant victory over areas of sin or areas of physical affliction through this type of self-deliverance, and it is my prayer that you will be rid of any demonic affliction or oppression after you follow this procedure.

  • Every Example of Healing in the New Testament
Provides all of the passages in the New Testament which demonstrate how Jesus and the apostles healed the sick and cast out demons. These examples of healing that God has provided in the Bible can teach us a lot about how divine healing works.
